BACKGROUND:
Since finishing second overall on the America’s Cup 6-race circuit, and then earning a spot on the Men’s Europa Cup circuit for the first time in his career, Keith Loach is now knocking on the door of a permanent placing on Canada’s dominant World Cup squad.

Keith’s goal is to compete at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. Keith excels at the driving aspect of the sport and is working hard to bring his push-start up to a World Cup level. “A world class slider has to have a world class push-start, that’s not smoke and mirrors,”. “With my off-season strength training, as well as use of the Canadian Ice House, I hope to bring myself to that level within the next couple of years”. Keith entered the sport as a walk-in off the street and through tireless dedication, has worked his way to an elite level.

A triplet and native Calgarian, his sporting background includes 11 years of hockey and an appreciation for the game of golf.

Keith has recently decided to join the Bobsleigh Canada Workforce and help give back to the sport. He has accepted the position of Skeleton National Development Coordinator and Europa Cup Head Coach.
