BACKGROUND:
Heather was named to the Europa Cup team as a brakeman in November 2008.  During high school, Heather played rep soccer at the provincial level.  Later, her focus switched from soccer to track and field.  She was recruited to the University of Western Ontario as a shot putter.  During her four years at Western studying nursing, Heather competed in shot put and weight throw.  She was an Academic All-Canadian for all for years and was a CIS All-Canadian for her final three years.  Heather is enjoying the challenge of learning a new sport.

2008 – Senior National Bronze Medalist in shot put
CIS Silver and Bronze Medalist in shot put and weight throw (respectively)
2007 – CIS Silver Medalist in shot put and weight throw
2006 – CIS Gold Medalist in shot put
