BACKGROUND:
Veronique’s athletic career began as a track and field athlete specializing in the heptathlon in 2000. She competed at the university level between 2000-07.

While on her way to Mexico in January of 2008, Veronique was approached to try bobsleigh and her career in the sport was established after participating in a development camp this past summer.

Outside of bobsleigh, Veronique loves to work. She has her masters degree in political science from the University of Sherbrooke, and is an International Trade Negotiator for Transport Canada since 2007. Her career goal is to gain experience within the government and eventually work for an international organization such as the United Nations or the Organization of the American States.

Veronique also enjoys camping, playing squash, travelling and enjoying dinner with friends.

•    Silver medalist at the National Senior Championship in 2005 (Winnipeg) and 2007 (Windsor), heptathlon

•    CIS Bronze medalist in Long Jump in 2001, Sherbrooke
•    CIS Silver medalist in pentathlon in 2000, McGill, Montreal
